Mission
My mission is to rediscover and make accessible for our time a profound truth that was still known in antiquity.
I seek to contribute to a renewed connection between science, spirituality, and embodied experience, so that knowledge is no longer detached from ethics but is once again embedded within a shared orientation toward a livable earth.
Background
My search began in adolescence. As a teenager, I learned meditation from a former nun. During a guided visualization, I received a symbolic gift: three white burning candles. To me, they came to represent three domains that would shape my life’s path: science, spirituality, and religion.
What was first given intuitively, later deepened into an intellectual quest. In my work, I explore how these three domains gradually grew apart throughout history—and how they might enter into dialogue with one another once again.

For ten years, I worked as a dietitian. I guided people with eating-related challenges and developed my own method of counselling. On behalf of the national Protestant churches in the Netherlands, I was involved in organizing a dialogue between the Church and New Age spirituality as part of an ecumenical initiative. I also facilitated workshops in communication and personal development in the public sector.
Afterwards, I spent ten years working as a regression and reincarnation therapist, guiding people through processes that included what are often referred to as soul journeys. Since 2002, I have taught philosophy of life at the Bonaventura Lyceum in Leiden.
I studied Dietetics (1985), Philosophy at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (1991), Regression and Reincarnation Therapy (2004), and in 2014 obtained my first-degree teaching qualification in Philosophy from Utrecht University.
My forthcoming book, Truth Embodied: A Proposal for a Livable Earth as an Ethical Horizon in Education, builds on my earlier work, Choosing What Is of Value: From Fact-Based to Ethically Grounded Education, and further develops my philosophical exploration of a pre-linguistic concept of truth.
Earlier publications include She Is the One She Has Been Waiting For (1997), An Unexpected New Era (1997), Golden Tips for a Healthy Weight (2000), The Wisdom of Sophia (2012), and I Offer You a Fruit from the Tree of Life (2013). (Currently available in Dutch only)
I am also the initiator and producer of the documentary The Roots of Science Are Orange, in which I explore the spiritual and philosophical roots of Western thought.

Invitation
I see my work as an invitation to dialogue.
With scientists, philosophers, theologians, educators, and all those involved in education—and with anyone who senses that our time calls for a new orientation.
